I found the same problem: my T42's ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 used to interwork properly with my 24' Siemens-Fujitsu Scaleoview D24W-2 supporting the keep track of's 1920x1200 quality under Home windows XP. Then, for many reasons, I got to switch to Home windows 7. From the Gain-7 motorists I get a max-resolution of just 1600x1200, which effects in a substantial quality reduction - especially in the portrayal of characters. The Win-7 message resulting from the automatic driver-update gives a more detailled description of the cause (I apologize for the possibly improper English, the initial message has been in German): 'This issue goes up because your graphics cards does not help the needed version of directX. This version of Windows demands to help directX 9.0 or increased.'
So, in order to restore the crisp and clear manifestation, that I got under Windows XP I too would need a 'modded drivér', as ajkula66 left a comment. My final question therefore is usually: Will anyone have a hint where like a driver can be available? Greatest respect, Andreas.
